Default A couple of my old rides

Was going through some old photos, and I thought I would share some.

The 'race' Gremlin. Don't remember the year, exactly, but I think it was a '79. Probably one of the most fun cars I have ever owned. Not because it was any good. It just made people smile. Well, that; and the stereo system was in-freaking-sane in this thing.

"Race" engine

Here are a few of my first Mustang. It was a 1993 'White Out' LX. One of 1500 made (If I recall), only 1000 were autos. And.... I massively ruined it. Here is proof that I had a ricer phase. I have no idea what my fascination was with stickers at that point in time. At least there was a part on the car for every sticker placed on it. You can also see bits of my old '68 F100 in a couple of the shots.

Just a little bit of stuff going on in the interior

And, finally, the GT1 car. She belongs to a couple of friends of mine back home. It is a former Matt Kenseth ASA car. Still running the N/A Buick 3.8 V6. Carbed. Roughly 525 horses at the crank at about 9000 revs. This thing sounds amazing when twisted that high. This is the car I ran my SCCA driving school in. The pic of the car when it was all red was taken the day I drove it. After that, we reworked the body a bit and changed the color scheme up. It looks different, again, as the fenders have been flared to clear 12" front and 14" rear tires. The paint scheme is the same, though.

Here are a few pics of the "business office" of the GT1:

And allow me to put on my flame suit for this next pic. Depending on who you ask, PMS either stands for Puleo, Miles and Shrum; or Puleo, Messenger, and Shrum. It has absolutely nothing to do with anyone's 'time of the month'.

Sorry for the big post. I just wanted to share. Make fun of the cars all you want. I would give anything to drive the GT1 again; and we have all made poor car/modification decisions in the past-I am sure.

That is/was a Harly Davidson/AMF 3-wheeled, gas powered cart. Don't know much more about it, except that when it ran it smoked like a bitch. Dad had two of them. He sold them on Craigslist for $150, or something like that. They were given to him, though; and we had no parts other than a spark plug in the one.

But you can't beat the geo metro and gas mileage. I think that would have fit in the back of my Sonoma.

I had a red Gremlin with gold rims when I was 16. That is cool to have pics like that.

You probably stickered up that mustang because you knew white-on-white verts were chick cars... even more so than a regular mustang.

It may have been a chick car, but at least it wasn't a Ca-mullet.

The bitch was, 1 week after I bought that car, we took in a Calypso Green hatch 5-speed. I was upset, as that was what I really wanted. Oh, well, at least the ragtop wasn't a 4 cylinder.

Gee. Thanks, Morey. I think if I am going to start another project, that will not be the base. Would be kind of fun to make one handle, though. Would also be a royal pain in the ass. Oh. And, $650????? That guy must be on something.
