Talking need help picking a rearend''

hey guys''
i need help with the gear that would be better for the S10 i,m building'
now between a 355' or a 373' gear in the 8.8 ford rearend i have found both
and would a 355 work good in the 1/8 mile ?
i will be running a bone stock 350 / 350 turbo when i get it together'

any street driving? you could also find the 8.8 with 4.10's also

any street driving? you could also find the 8.8 with 4.10's also. what size tire are you going with? any power adders? if it was me, i would go 3.73 minimum. but i prefer 4.10 and depending on what rpm you want to trap at maybe higher than that

depending on the tire size the 3.73 would be the better for you. normally the less amount of power you have you normally want a taller gear to help make up for it. 4.10 may be even better. with my th350 and 8.8 on the baby 302 motor it had a 4.56 and drove the street pretty good, but may be a little to big for you

well guys' this will a race truck only''
and the tires i have are 28-10-15 goodyears slicks
now i can get the 355 rear cheaper that the 373 rear'
would a 355 do ok in the 1/8 mile''
or go with the 373 and spend more money'

How fast do you think it will be? That 3.73 with that tire is good to over 150mph at 7000rpm.

I have 4.11's with a powerglide and I make a decent amount of power.

You arent going to have a ton of power so you need all the gear you can get. For an 8.8 I would get 4:10-4:30' s.
