I actually got brought on as a contractor after applying for a direct job, they are bringing a lot of people on as contractors and seeing how you work out before bringing you on as a direct.

A lot of managers in the 19 and 20 buildings will treat you the same as the blue badge guys. FWIW I do think if Joe had been a Boeing employee he would still be here, but keep in mind I only know what he told me. I don't think Boeing is any worse on the contractor vs direct issue than any other big company.
