If you were road racing, I'd say go with the t56. They have a much taller first gear making all the rest of the gears closer together. That same tall first gear will kill you trying to take off at the track though, making you have to run something like a 4.33 gear to make it the same as it was before. Wait a taller first gear makes all the gears closer together? I think you mean less split between 1-2 nothing else.

What's the power level, cars primary use and budget are all you need to ask yourself.
