So I guess by what the majority in here are saying is that the only dogs these "stupid owners" seem to always get are big, muscle dogs with unreal amounts of jaw pressure? Theres a reason the only shit you hear about is from Pits, rotties and such. They were bread from day one to be aggressive and handle larger shit than themselves. Its built the fuck in folks. Sure, I know Ray's pit will lick you raw, but I also know that even on 3 legs and on a slick floor that same dog will drag your ass around in a tug of war match. Everyone on here hears how some family dog eats a kid or Grandma out of the blue every year. I dont hear this happening with a Jack Russell/Poodle/Maltese/Yorkie, do you guys? Eventually you got to ask yourselves why its always a certain breed and how much of it really is the owner's faults. I dont hear Golden Retrievers going after people, theyre of a similar size. I just dont see how it is that its always the owners fault every time.

Really Jack Russell terrier's, They are a very aggressive breed especially over territory the difference is they are small and can't do the damage a big dog can do. Pit bulls have the same tendency becuase they are also terriers. The big difference between the breeds is not many have as much will/heart as put bulls/rots/german shepards. Once they decided its go time they get after it and dont back down. Thats why they are excellent guard dogs.

As far as the scottish terrier goes, I guarantee it provoked the ordeal since once again it was a terrier which are territorial funny how its in the name. Granted the pit was on the terriers turf, but it wasnt going to tolerate another dog threatening it, in the animal world the strongest survive.

My opinion is the agressive dogs dont belong in heavily populated area's, eventially some one or some thing is going to wonder on there turf and they are going to react to it as a threat. Its not a question of if, but when during its 15 year life span.

Sucks for that dog because it was doing what it thought it should do, but the owner put himself and the dog in that situation and the outcome was unfortunate. He was obviously trying to aggravate the officers (or however you want to describe it) with the way he was filming them. And after he put the dog in the car and walked towards the officers- that wasn't cooperation. And it wasn't cooperation when he turned around and put his hands behind his back either. That has him "bein hard boi. Because he aint give da fuck."

I seem to say the same thing every time I see stuff like this, but I will say it again- If you go looking for drama, don't be mad when you find it.

On another note, you can see the officer reach for the leash at one point. His first instinct appeared to be to try to control the dog, it just wasn't working out. I can guarantee that officer doesn't want to shoot animals, no officer does. It's a no win situation and you know you are going to catch hell.

Not the owners fault every time.... I said it was the owners fault THIS time. The dog was merely protecting one of his "pack". Dudeman should have gotten him out of there when he had the chance. I almost guarantee he purposely left the window down KNOWING the dog would come to his defense as some kind show of power or whatever and got his faithful dog killed as a result. I agree some of the smaller dogs are equally as aggressive as the large breeds, they just arent perceived as a threat because of their small size. I had another friend who had to have her wiener dog put down cause he was so damn mean. Some dogs are just that way.

egg zactly. i do not like knowing i could be a dog's dinner should he decide he wants to eat me. most every single one of the cases where the family pit eats their kid, they will say "he was such a sweet loving dog, i dont know what happened". nearly every single time. so i don't feel easy about a random ~70lb pit running around in my neighborhood while the kids are outside. i dont see myself as being an ignorant dumba55, it makes complete sense to me. if you are hurt over my not liking the breed of dog you have, im sorry. but its my OPINION.
we had a ~50lb chow that was given to us as a puppy. loved us to death, but very territorial, so it made us a bit nervous when the ups/fedex guy came by. never bit anyone, but he sure acted like he wanted to sometimes. he also attacked a few dogs over the years, some of which were bigger than him. they did the roll around thing and then they would be done. he never left one of those dogs in a bloody dying mess like my neighbors dog was... that dog would have died had my wife not seen him laying there bleeding out.

That media fed bull shit. No you don't hear about the other dogs because its not good enough news. So they don't report it. Does not mean it doesn't happen. Pits were breed to be babysitters. People found out they were stong and used them for fighting. You never hear about the breed of dog with the stongest bitting pressure because most people have never heard of a akedia. Prob didn't spell that right. So it would not make good news. The shit you see on the news is someones opinion on what sells.

Gotta say thats the first ive heard of them being bred for baby sitting purposes. I always was told it was to mess with bears and bulls and big shit like that.

Did you know that 50-83 percent of statistics are made up. LOL. Notice I used a big range because depending on where you look it as low as 50 and as high as 83.

Serious question, did you see these source documents used to compile this report. I could get on TV or a News web page today given the chance and make up all kinds of shit on the fly, doesn't mean its true but at least half of the population will accept it as truth because there too lazy to check out the facts and make there own damn opinion. The big media reports what they are told to report period if it wont get good ratings then you wont hear about it. And if it anything about whats happening oversea's its twisted to which ever way they want you to hear it.
